August 15, 2008 : The Puteri Indonesia 2008 finals has just been concluded at the Plenary Hall of the Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta. Winner was 19-year-old ZIVANNA LETISHA SERIGAR, representing DKI Jakarta 6. She will represent Indonesia in Miss Universe 2009.

August 15, 2008 : Christa Simmons, a professional model and a college student from
Georgetown was crowned as the new Miss Guyana World 2008. She will be
representing her country at the Miss World 2008 Beauty Contest. Christa
is 22 years old and stands 173cm. tall. She also competed at the 2008
Miss Tourism Queen International Beauty Pageant earlier this year.

August 2, 2008 : Klaudia Ungerman will
represent Poland in Miss World 2008 after winning the 2008 Miss
Polski crown. Julia Piatek and Marta Marciszak were the I and II
Vice Miss of the said national pageant, respectively.

August 2, 2008, Miss Charmaine Chinapen captured the coveted Miss Belize title,
beating out 5 others in the pageant, who were picked from the 11 who
applied. Keep in mind that Belize has a total population of only around
250,000, and much of it is fairly rural, so those low numbers arenโt
quite so shocking. Nevertheless, the winner turns out to be really
gorgeous, so the pageant met its objective. |

July 26th, 2008 : The Miss Lietuva 2008 finals took place at Club Niujorkas in Vilnius. Winner was 17-year-old Gabrielฤ Martirosianaitฤ of Kauno. Gabrielฤ will represent Lithuania in Miss World 2008 in Kiev, Ukraine on October 4. |
